You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged.
Whewww!! Did yall feel that? I sure did.
Hey yalllll!!! It has been a while but let me just say this! God has been showing up and showing out in my life since your last read here. I can not waittttttttttt to share with you all some really exciting news soon next year!! 2020 here I come!!
I have been given an assignment to carry out first though. And upon completion of my own assignment, I was told to make sure I delivered this homework to you all as well. My church notebook is full, and ironically enough, the last pages are filled with the assignments that we have to complete. We are amongst the last few days of 2019, and no better time to reflect on how far we’ve come and what we choose to carry over into 2020 with us.
A time of reflection;
Beginning below we have a verse to study:
Proverbs 27;12: A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished-
Meaning, the unexamined life is not worth living—If we are not willing to reflect on our past transgressions, how can we possibly move forward in life with a clear mind? So what is it that we have to do?
Consider our ways
Consider the time we have given to
Relationships
Time given to prayer
Our concern for souls (others)
How we use money (stewardship)
How we serve and help others
But…….remember
You cannot grow spiritually beyond your prayer………
So why should we give careful thought to our ways ?
Because conditions require it
Wisdom depends on it
God demands it
So in this time of reflection before we reach this new decade approaching, reflect on these questions. Read them out loud, write them down, whatever you have to do to get it out. This is your Exodus. Your release… Okay…Go!!
What are your goals?
What is your plan/ strategy?
What are your resources?
Who are your partners? ( God rarely calls you to do anything alone) you need a partner to multiply…
What is the current fruit of your life?
To whom will you be accountable ?
What needs to change?
What were you doing a year ago ?
How has your relationship with God been over the year?
Do you enjoy how you are spending time in life ?
What feels like a burden to you ?
What makes you feel alive?
Are you spending sufficient time with people who enrich your life? Do they stretch you? Challenge you to grow ?
Who inspires you to strive to be the best version of yourself?
What will matter to you in 6 months/ 1 year/ 5 years ?
If God doesn’t change your circumstances God will change you for your circumstance-
Pain that is not transformed is transmitted…When God recognizes our complacency and we fail to deliver on our promise to reflect and come out of comfort and what tends to control us, be prepared for him at any moment to grab a hold of you and get you back on track. Do not ignore the signs, they are there for a reason..
5 signs you are ready for a divine shakeup ( God will come in at any moment)
God disturbs comfortable people
When you stop seeking God earnestly
When you live a fear based lifestyle that eliminates interferences with your security
When you are satisfied with your life and no longer hungry for God
You interpret all trouble as attacks from the devil instead of seeing God’s hand in it (Let me speak on this…not every interference is the devil, sometimes God has his hands all up and through the troubling parts of your life to see how strong your faith is….Trust me; I’ve witnessed this first hand.
Checkpoint…..Yall still with me?
You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.
Lets rid ourselves of these unhealthy habits that drain our energy before the new year arrives!
A simple change to these bad habits will change A LOT!
Always on social media
Staying up too late
Overthinking
Staying around negativity
Living in the past
Unhealthy eating
Remaining in a abusive relationship
Most of our fear is in a world of imagination. We control so much just with our minds. Isn’t that crazy?! We are in complete control of how we think and and how we feel. If we are not constantly reflecting on ways we can omit what hinders or hurts us, how will we progress and continue to walk in our purpose? I am a testimony of an overthinker. But the biggest thing I have learned in the conclusion of this year, is that God can not speak to tired minds. Reflect, release and prepare. We’re almost there!
Don’t just run.
Stop
Reflect
Pray
Think
Plan
When you allow yourself to become refreshed or renewed- YOU HAVE REFLECTED
I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year! I’ll touch base when the new year is here and with some exciting news! Be Blessed
—Yours Purely
